Welcome to the official Barry Williams' blog
My friends call me Barry. From time to time I also hear the name Greg. Yeah, as in Greg Brady. The Brady Bunch represents a fun time in my life. But it’s only part of the story. There’s more to say and that’s what The Greg Brady Project is all about – a place to say it. So, I’ve invited some friends to join me and share their perspectives on the Brady’s, the 70′s and just about everything else. Now, I’m inviting you…
Attention New Yorkers! The boys are getting back together this Friday – Sunday at Big Apple Comic Con for their very first New York City joint appearance, and one of the very few that Barry, Chris and Mike have done together since The Brady Bunch went off the air. As the Banana Convention would say: “It’s gonna be a really big show. Really big!”
The guys will be signing autographs throughout the weekend as well as taking part in some very special events. Here are some tentative times to keep in mind:
- Photo Opportunities: Friday, 6:35pm, Saturday, 5:00pm & Sunday, 12:40pm
- Brady Boys Reunion Panel Discussion: Saturday, 4:00 – 4:45pm
- Brady Brunch: Sunday, 8:30am – 9:30am
To confirm times, purchase advance tickets and learn more about all the other cool guests and events, visit Big Apple Comic Con’s Official Site.
The Cincinnati Kids. Hawaii Bound. Pass the Tabu. The Tiki Caves. The Subject Was Noses. You might know the five aforementioned Brady Bunch episodes by the key words King’s Island, Hawaii, and Oh, my nose! Time and again as I interviewed fans who were gathered for a recent personal appearance by Barry, these shows were cited as personal favorites. Although I would agree that each of them is a classic, none of them appears in my Brady Six.
The Brady Six is your personal top-six list of favorite Bunch episodes. There is only one criterion for inclusion: each episode you choose should be one that you never tire of watching, the sort of show that causes you to be delighted as the opening credits conclude and you realize that one of the best Brady Bunchesever is on the air. While compiling my own list, I noticed that five of my six favorites include Greg in a prominent role. I swear on my tiki idol that my list would still be the same if I were blogging for the Cindy Brady Project! Here, then, presented in the order in which they originally aired, is my Brady Six.
I am thrilled to have this medium to share ideas, maintain relationships, and encourage an ongoing dialog. This exceeds my 70’s wildest imagination of an ability to stay connected. This blog is not intended to be your typical former child star, current star, future star blog. Indeed most of them don’t even get the technology yet. We’ll help bring them along. My intention is to create a forum for discussion, to contribute regularly, to manage daily, and explore together the journey of lives, schedules, events, adventures and in short; to go boldly go where no man has ever gone before – well at least this man.
For years I have met fascinating people and I discovered those relationships were cut short by logistics or busy schedules. I have worked with wonderfully talented people on projects that have made significant contributions to my life only to find that the relationship foundered after the show/tour/job ended due to a lack of an open space to stay connected. This blog is the machine and the medium to help me keep relationships alive and active. It’s a great way to discover possibilities that have never been available to you and me before.
Thanks for Googling me and/or Gregory B. I invite you to explore my blog. You’ll find all types of information regarding schedules, events, appearances, thoughts and opinions here, and… you fill it in, the potential is without boundaries. Most of all I appreciate your interest in the multi-generational experience that we share.
