The Greg Brady Project

Welcome to the official Barry Williams' blog

My friends call me Barry. From time to time I also hear the name Greg. Yeah, as in Greg Brady. The Brady Bunch represents a fun time in my life. But it’s only part of the story. There’s more to say and that’s what The Greg Brady Project is all about – a place to say it. So, I’ve invited some friends to join me and share their perspectives on the Brady’s, the 70′s and just about everything else. Now, I’m inviting you…

    Barry,

That would be totally awesome if you get to perform on Dancing with The Stars and not just to sing, either. I am sure you would be a FANTASTIC dancer!!

Barry, I think it would be way cool if you (and maybe some other Brady alumni) were booked on a Cunard cruise — sorta a re-happening of the QE2 cruise Robert Reed took you all on back when. And, hey!, there’s now a NEW Queen Elizabath ship! I can see it now … the Brady Bunch Comedy Hour around the pool!

    Hi Barry,

I am a big brady bunch fan from way back and saw that you are looking to come to Australia, which is where i live. That would be really great. Hope you get here.

My son watches the brady bunch too and it s funny watching him watching something i grew up with…

    I still love watching it…

By the way i have the same birthday as you…not the same year but the same date…sounds silly but when i found that out i thought it was very cool…

Thanks for being part of a great show..one that got me through some tough times growing up…i always wanted to be a brady!!!!

Hope you make it down under…

    Cheers, Laura

I’ve never been to the Grand Ole Opry, but now I’m intrigued.

Hi Barry! My name is Rachel Long. On September 30, 1994, when I was 7 years old, I met you at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. This was on your 40th birthday. This is a moment that I have never forgotten!! I still remember you calling a group of people up to the stage to teach a dance when you called on me and my younger sister, Heidi (who was 4 at the time) to join. This was one of the most cherished moments of my childhood, and I will never forget it! See, I grew up as a HUGE Brady Bunch fan. I would watch episodes over and over again after recording them onto a VHS, and I could answer any single trivia question. I was practically a Brady Bunch fanatic (and still am)!!! In my eyes, you were a hero!

I am now 23 and I have recently become engaged to a wonderful man, Brandon. We are planning on getting married on August 13, 2011, in my hometown of Lewistown, PA. It would mean the world to me if you would come and dance with me at the reception. Some of my family thinks that I am crazy for asking. However, as you mentioned in this post, “If you don’t ask, the answer is always no.” I am still one of the biggest Brady Bunch fans, and I even make Brandon watch episodes with me. I would be eternally grateful if you could fulfill this request on the happiest day of my life. I look forward to hearing from you in return. No matter what you decide, you will always be a hero in my eyes!

    Sincerely,
    Rachel Elizabeth Long

I work at The Metropolitan Room in NYC. You should totally bring a cabaret act to the room. You’d sell it out. I know Florence has been there but I don’t think she has ever performed there.
