Nice post Bob!

It's nice to hear some of the positive aspects of the book.

I always liked the fact that the two husbands from the Brady Brides series -- Jerry Houser and Ron Kuhlman -- were included in the later Brady incarnations.

There's nearly a 10 year span between Brides and The Bradys. It would have been very easy to recast the roles with other actors but they weren't.

I, like you, suspected that Houser was a good guy and am glad to hear we were correct.

He still does quite a bit of voiceover work. Whenever I hear his distinctive and energetic voice I think, "That's Marcia's husband, Wally Logan!"

I definately have to read this book. I'm glad to hear you're in sight on Maueen's book.

I've been a huge fan of yours for years, Barry. We even met back in 1978 when I was 9 and you were one of the hosts of our branch of Cerebral Palsy Telethon in Milwaukee, WI and I was their theme child that year.

I just finished reading Maureen's book and i am left with a big question: She thanks every "Brady" in the acknowledgement section but not Eve Plumb. I re-read all of the Brady parts to see if a fight is mentioned between them but nothing is ever mentioned. So why leave only Eve out of the thank you's? It felt like something between them had gone wrong when they were together during Weakest Link and then the Jenny McCarthy hosted Brady reunion. Maybe Barry has the answer and will share??

That part also struck me - I'm so glad you wrote about it here. I found that much of the press exaggerated some of the items in the book, but I was very touched that "Wally" was so good to her.

That's very interesting! I look forward to reading Maureen's book (hmm....I will have to re-watch "The Brady Brides". Who knew the true dynamics therein!). Acting oft includes obscuring one's own being except wherein it furthers the intended character. In this case, Houser's niceness was the real thing.
Now let's analyze Barry William vs. Johnny Bravo! 8^)

Thanks for the insight, Barry.
You and I are the same age, and I used to watch the show with dreams of marrying Greg Brady! Myself and a gazillion other young ladies! Anyway, I think the "real" Greg Brady (YOU!!!) grew up to be a classy, intelligent fellow. Just wanted to say that. I don't think that Mo would have done to badly for herself if life had been different and you and her DID hook up.
Thanks for the kindness you show.
