As a life long New Yorker, I of course was rooting for the Giants. Even if the Giants weren’t playing, it is my job to root against whoever is playing the Patriots. In fact, you will enjoy this Barry – at one point during the game as I was yelling at the television I turned to my mom and said “I don’t like Tom Brady. Greg Brady is way cooler.”

Since the Steelers were out of it, I was rooting for all the ex-Steelers. More of them on the Pats, but Plax got the big TD.

I think the potential surrounding the game (19-0 or big upset) outweighed the actual game itself. WIthout the expectations for historical context, I don’t think this game holds a flame to others in the past.

A big let down, but Brady will be back. Too bad that history will punish the Pats much more for one loss than had they dropped one or two during the season as well.

Speaking of Heartbreakers, I might have to pick up Tom Petty’s greatest hits this week.

Now how bout those Celtics?

Eli Manning did a brilliant job as did the defense. They used the same tactics that the Patriots have used throughout the season whereas they took down the QB as quickly and as often as possible. I was rooting for the Giants for two reasons. First, because they aren’t the Patriots, and Second because they are tied to New Jersey (where I live). But I am a die-hard Redskins fan. I’m looking forward to seeing who their new coach will be and how well the team will do next season with this new direction.

My favorite Super Bowl commercials were the two Etrade (with the talking baby) commercials, the Macy’s parade balloons with Stewie, Underdog and the bottle of Coke, and the guy with the jumper cables connected to this nips.

I was really rooting for the Patriots. And I usually watch the Super Bowl just FOR the commercials. No chance this year – had to get some sleep to work third shift. Hopefully the commercials will replay on other shows. Do you think that Tom Brady’s ankle had anything to do with the loss? I know that he was walking around with a walking cast last week, but I think that was just for preventative measures.
